  The Humboldt Classics Senior Softball Association was formed in 1993 by Stan Elcock and Dr. Bert Steel. They created

  a wood bat league for slow pitch softball players in their fifties. They added a second division for players sixty and above    in 1998.

​

  The association currently consists of just one division for senior athletes 58 and older but there are plans to add a 50’s        division in 2019. The league presently hosts six teams with over 100 senior athletes enjoying the benefits of slow pitch        softball.

  We are grateful to the association’s forebears for providing us with the opportunity to still play ball. It’s with a special tip        of the cap to Stan and Bert that we say thank you gentlemen for giving us old timers another season.
